Why add co-farmer to your farm

Its simple and fast

It might look like a joke but if it was not simple and fast, we would be reluctant to the you about. However, since it is simple and fast, have a go at it.

Poultry farming is a collaborative effort

For most small and medium poultry farms, poultry farming is a collaborative effort. In some cases, poultry farmers are run as a family business and in others, in business partnerships. Even backyard poultry farming more often than not involves more than one person in a household.

It goes without saying then that, sharing your poultry farm with your co-farmer is only natural. As a result, you do not need to do all the work alone. Let your co-farmers help and contribute.

Simplify farm management and record keeping

If each co-farmer is running different parts of the farm business, then no one has a data overview of everything happening in the farm. Thus, if you add your co-farmers to your farm, each co-farmer can add data corresponding to their part. This way, everyone contributes to record keeping and always have the latest copy of the data with them.

Now you do not need to ask each individual co-farmer how much money was spent on coop repairs, or how many eggs were collected, each can log respective data to your farm.

Moreover, this not only simplifies farm management but makes it so easy to stay up to date. You can see exactly what happened in your farm today, what needs follow up, and so on.

Share records

This one is slightly overlooked but it is very important. Once you have added your co-farmers to your farm, they can view farm records. Therefore, whenever they want to look something up, or are trying to make farming decisions, they can refer to farm data on their phone. As a result, you don’t have to hand over your phone – with all your privates – to your co-farmer. You are welcome. 🧘🏾‍♂️

Flock insights – let everyone contribute to data based farming

Lastly but not least, once every one has access to farm records, it becomes very easy to crowdsource and to make farming decisions. The advantage here is that each co-farmer can and will usually have different insights from flock performance data. Thus you not only have farming discussions based on actual data, you also make decisions based on actual data. Kudos to you. 👊🏾
